Wardrobe and walk-in robe renders.
Set the project to Wardrobe, Walk-in robe or Linen cupboard and Asterlyn Space treats it as storage: wall, floor and full-height cabinets and shelves, no benchtop (countertop), no splashback (backsplash), and a strip light over the hanging rail.

What the app asks about in a robe.
- Room types
- Wardrobe, Walk-in robe and Linen cupboard.
- Runs
- Wall cabinets, floor cabinets, full-height cabinets, shelves, blank panels and end panels. Each takes its own colour.
- Not offered
- An island, breakfast bar panels, an oven tower or a cabinet above a fridge space.
- Benchtop
- Not expected. The app doesn't warn you that a benchtop is missing, because a robe hasn't got one.
- Splashback
- Opens on No splashback. You can still turn one on in Fixtures.
- Strip lights
- Over the hanging rail, under each shelf, under the wall cabinets, and inside glass cabinets.
- Photoshoot
- Clothes on the hangers, folded knits and shoes, only where the picture already shows rails or shelves, plus a rug and an ottoman. A linen cupboard gets folded linen, towels and baskets on its shelves.
Storage runs, named as storage.
Wall, floor and full-height.
A robe has no bench for its cabinets to sit above or below, so the Materials panel names them by where they are: wall cabinets, floor cabinets and full-height cabinets. Open bays are called shelves. The blank faces and ends are blank panels and end panels, not an island's.
Each run takes its own colour, so a robe with oak full-height doors and a painted shelf bay is two picks. The same words go to the render, and a robe pass is never told about a breakfast bar or an oven tower.
Handles (pulls), finger pulls, sharknose, a gola rail or a shadow gap, and your own handle photo, work the same as in a kitchen. So does the door grain, vertical or horizontal. The doors and hardware page covers them.
No benchtop, no splashback.
A robe, a walk-in robe and a linen cupboard are cabinetry and nothing else. The app doesn't flag a missing benchtop on them before you render, which it would on a kitchen or a laundry.
They also open on no splashback, so the render isn't asked to tile a wall behind the hanging space. If your robe has a dressing bench with a tiled wall behind it, turn the splashback on in the Fixtures panel.

Four places a robe is lit.
- Over the hanging rail. It shines down across the clothes below.
- Under each shelf, washing down over what sits on the shelf below.
- Under the wall cabinets, washing down the wall and whatever sits below.
- Inside glass cabinets, for a glass-fronted section.
A robe isn't offered a strip in the kickboards (toe kicks), which a kitchen is. Tick more than one light and they go on in a single pass. Colour temperature is Warm (3000K), Neutral (4000K) or Cool (6000K).
Staging a robe.
The photoshoot pass stages a finished render the way a house is photographed for a listing. In a wardrobe or a walk-in robe it brings clothes on the hangers, with a choice of looks (neatly spaced, neutral linens, coats and dresses, or arranged light to dark), folded knits on the shelves and shoes lined up low. A rug and an ottoman go on the floor. Handbags, a floor lamp and hat boxes are there if you tick them.
A linen cupboard gets neat stacks of folded linen, folded towels and baskets on the shelves, with a woven basket on the floor. Spare bedding and a step stool are there if you want them.
Anything that goes inside the unit is only asked for where the picture already shows a rail or a shelf, so the pass isn't told to add rails for the clothes to hang on. It may shift the picture, so it arrives as a new version beside the render you had.

Wardrobe, Walk-in robe or Linen cupboard, when you create the project. On a sheet with several drawings, a caption that says walk-in robe, walk-in wardrobe, robe, wardrobe or linen cupboard sets the room for you.
Draw the rails and shelves
The render reproduces what the drawing shows, and the photoshoot pass only asks for clothes on rails and folded things on shelves the picture already has. See preparing a drawing.
Set the colours run by run
Full-height cabinets in one finish and the open shelves in another is one pick each. Set the door grain vertical or horizontal in Construction.
Light the hanging space and render
Tick the light over the hanging rail and pick a colour temperature. Every pass is kept as its own version, so you can compare the lit render with the one before.
